By FAR my favorite place for a quick, warm and comforting lunch in Hamburg. Always different soup offerings, including soups you have never heard of before. The bread is home made, and WONDERFUL with every soup decision. Unfortunately, on a cold day, there is only standing room outside, thus the use of the wording "quick lunch." In the summer, or on non-rainy days, there is outside seating, but not very much. If the place is packed take it to go.
I love the chili when it is available. Another favorite is the potato leek soup. I tried the corn chowder once and it was also wonderful. I have to say so far I have not run into a soup here that was not filling and delicious Always get the add ins, and enjoy the very friendly service. -

Cute little soup place in the middle of hip Schanze in Hamburg. A few tables outside but inside only standing bars / tables with not enough bar stools.
They have a selection of weekly and monthly soups that smell and taste good. Be it German Gulasch, coconut soup or afrikan lentil. It is well priced.
The staff is friendly but all in all this was nothing mind blowing. -

When I worked on Schulterblatt, this was our spot for lunch at least twice a week! Our diet plan was to eat more soup and salad so that we could avoid all those hearty carbs, such as the juicy hamburgers and thick cut pommes that can be found at the Bullerei.
The only catch is that they have this extremely delicious bread that goes perfectly dunked into any which soup you choose but I adore the creamier options, so you end up eating more bread than soup that ruined our diet regimen, haha!
If you are going to splurge on high calorie soup and endless dipping bread, please come here, it is delicious. The shop is a bit small, so if you plan to sit down during lunch rush you may find it a bit crowded as the inside has one bar to sit near the window and an outdoor bench style park table that seats comfortable 4 people.
Its friendly, quick, uncomplicated and tasty. Typically more of a lunch type soup shop! -

Great spot for a nice warm soup on a cold rainy day in Hamburg. Had the Chicken Chili soup out of a possible 7 soups available. It was very nice. Would have liked to see a sampling cup, but just go with your gut.

The tomato soup in Souperia really is out of this world. It's most definitely not from a can, loads of lovely bits of tomato still recongisable, and a huge dollop of crème fraîche makes for a nice lunch, especially on a hangover. It's not open in the evenings, so Saturday is my only opportunity to go. I may do that tomorrow!
